Connectivity

Wi-Fi, SIM, and connectivity rules

Connectivity is one of the most important parts of a stable setup.

Initial setup

Wi-Fi is required for initial setup and provisioning
Provisioning cannot be completed without Wi-Fi

After setup

Wi-Fi may be disabled after setup
Device can continue on SIM-based LTE or 5G if configured
In the SIM card settings, disable the PIN code request for the SIM

Ongoing requirements

Use stable home Wi-Fi or stable LTE/5G mobile data
Avoid public Wi-Fi and unstable hotspots
Avoid VPNs, proxies, or datacenter IPs on the device

Traffic requirement

If using mobile data, the plan should include at least 40 GB of high-speed traffic.

4

IP rules

One phone = one unique IP

Each enrolled phone must have its own unique IP address. This is a core requirement.

Rules

The preferred setup is one SIM or eSIM per phone
If Wi-Fi is used, only one enrolled phone may operate on that connection
Two enrolled phones must not share the same Wi-Fi network
Each device must function as its own separate endpoint

Best practice

Use LTE / 5G with a dedicated SIM whenever possible
Use Wi-Fi only for a single enrolled phone
Do not stack multiple enrolled devices onto one home Wi-Fi network

Rewards & quality rules

Earnings, Quality Rules & Revenue Share

To keep DroidDesk stable for renters, every partner device must meet basic quality requirements. Rewards are credited only when the device is online, charged, stable, and ready for remote use.

Minimum base reward

up to $30/mo

For eligible devices — paid regardless of the number of rentals.

Revenue share

30%–50%

Of rental revenue, by number of active approved devices.

Battery requirement

above 50%

Keep the device on power so the battery stays above 50%.

Internet speed

20 Mbps min

Minimum connection speed for smooth remote sessions.

Minimum base reward

Eligible active devices earn a base reward of up to $30/month, independent of how many times the device is rented — it is a baseline, not a commission on rentals, and is paid even if the device receives no rental sessions.

The base reward applies to devices that stay online and meet DroidDesk quality requirements, including battery level, internet speed, and proper setup.

Revenue share tiers

In addition to the base reward, partners can earn a percentage of the rental revenue generated by their active approved devices. Revenue share is calculated based on the number of active approved devices connected to DroidDesk.

🔋

Battery requirement

Each device must stay connected to power and keep the battery level above 50%.

If the battery drops below 50% even once during the day, the reward for that device will not be credited for that day.

This rule exists because low battery levels increase the risk of device shutdowns, failed sessions, and poor renter experience.

📶

Internet speed requirement

DroidDesk checks the device connection speed approximately once per hour.

If the connection speed is below 20 Mbps during a check, the reward for that specific hour will not be credited.

Stable internet is required for smooth remote control, screen streaming, and reliable renter sessions.

Reward eligibility

Rewards are credited only when a device meets DroidDesk quality requirements.

Devices that are offline, unstable, below the battery requirement, or below the internet speed requirement may not count toward reward or revenue share calculations.

Minimum quality requirements

To receive rewards, each device must:

Stay online and available for remote sessions
Remain connected to power
Keep battery level above 50%
Maintain internet speed above 20 Mbps
Avoid unstable connections, frequent disconnects, or low signal areas
Follow all DroidDesk partner rules

If a device does not meet these requirements, rewards may be reduced or not credited for the affected period.

Please note

DroidDesk reserves the right to reduce, pause, or withhold rewards for devices that do not meet platform quality requirements, including low battery, poor internet speed, unstable uptime, repeated disconnections, or improper setup.

Mistakes

Common mistakes to avoid

Most problems come from a few avoidable setup mistakes.

Using a daily phone instead of a spare device
Skipping the factory reset
Weak or unstable power setup
Public Wi-Fi or unreliable hotspots
Not having enough high-speed mobile traffic
Using the same Wi-Fi for multiple enrolled phones
Poor LTE / 5G signal
Cheap chargers or unstable cables
Heat buildup from poor placement
Moving the phone too often
