Host Policy

Effective date: October 9, 2026Last updated: October 9, 2026

This policy applies when you provide a device through DroidDesk. It supplements our Terms of Use, Acceptable Use Policy, and Device & Network Security documentation.

1

Eligibility and authority

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into the hosting arrangement. Provide only devices you own or are authorized to make available for remote rental. You are responsible for ensuring that your arrangement is permitted by applicable law, financing conditions, carrier rules, and internet-service terms.

Do not submit stolen, unlawfully obtained, or unauthorized devices. Disclose relevant locks, financing restrictions, carrier restrictions, and technical limitations before a device is accepted. DroidDesk may request identity, business, ownership, or device information for verification.

2

Accurate listings

Describe the device model, Android version, physical location, connectivity, carrier, supported features, and availability accurately. Do not falsify location, network characteristics, uptime, ownership, or performance. Notify support when a material detail changes.

Acceptance of a device does not guarantee future eligibility, continuous rentals, a particular utilization rate, or fixed income.

3

Preparing a device

Before onboarding, factory reset or otherwise prepare the device in accordance with DroidDesk's current setup instructions. Remove personal accounts, files, credentials, payment information, and private SIM-related information that renters are not entitled to access. Provide only a device that can safely be dedicated to the permitted rental use.

Install and maintain the approved management software. Do not add hidden monitoring tools or unauthorized modifications. Keep the device powered, charged, physically secure, and connected as required by the listing and onboarding instructions.

4

Connectivity and local-network security

You are responsible for arranging lawful, adequate internet connectivity and sufficient data service. Monitor applicable data allowances and carrier restrictions. Do not assume a renter's traffic is automatically filtered or isolated by DroidDesk.

Follow the network precautions and limitations in Device & Network Security. Use a separate rental network or equivalent isolation where supported, protect router administration and management interfaces, and avoid exposing personal devices or local services to renters.

If you cannot meet the setup requirements, contact Support before listing the device. Do not describe an unverified security configuration as approved or guaranteed by DroidDesk.

5

During a rental

Do not take control of the device, interrupt the session, change its connectivity, remove required software, or otherwise interfere with an active rental except where necessary to address an immediate safety or security threat or as instructed by DroidDesk.

Never access, view, collect, copy, record, or misuse a renter's accounts, credentials, communications, files, camera or microphone activity, or other private information. Ownership of the physical device does not grant permission to inspect renter data.

6

End-of-session data and cleanup

The standard cleanup removes applications installed during a rental and clears application and browser data; it is not a full factory reset after every session. Renter-created files may remain. Do not recover, inspect, copy, or use those files.

If cleanup appears incomplete or the device appears compromised, pause availability and contact support before another rental. Follow the approved maintenance instructions without investigating the contents of private files. The handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

7

Incidents and changes

Promptly report a lost, stolen, sold, transferred, damaged, compromised, disconnected, or newly restricted device. Report suspected misuse with its device ID, time and time zone, and a factual description. Do not contact or threaten a renter to resolve an abuse allegation independently.

If an immediate threat requires disconnection, prioritize safety and notify support promptly. Use Complaints & Disputes for an unresolved incident or formal policy complaint.

8

Earnings and payouts

Payout eligibility and amounts depend on the applicable offer or agreement and factors such as rental activity, availability, uptime, device suitability, marketplace fees, and adjustments. Estimated earnings are illustrative unless a separate written agreement expressly guarantees an amount.

Applicable payout schedules, minimums, supported methods, and fees are displayed in the dashboard or communicated by support. Review them before participating. Hosts are responsible for their own taxes and reporting obligations.

Payouts may be reviewed, delayed, reduced, or withheld where supported by an applicable agreement, relevant service failure, fraud concern, chargeback, legal obligation, or policy violation. Any final cancellation or adjustment must have an applicable contractual or legal basis. Contact support for an explanation or request review through Complaints & Disputes.

9

Suspension and leaving the marketplace

DroidDesk may pause or remove a device that is unsafe, unstable, unavailable, misdescribed, incompatible, or associated with prohibited activity. Account or device restrictions may be necessary while an incident is investigated.

If you want to stop hosting, contact support and coordinate removal so that active rentals can be handled appropriately. Do not sell or transfer a device while it remains connected and available for rental. Ending participation does not remove existing obligations regarding privacy, completed rentals, lawful payment adjustments, or unresolved disputes.

10

Questions and policy updates

For setup, maintenance, payout, or removal questions, use Contact Support. Material updates will be communicated as required by law and the applicable agreement. Changes do not automatically remove an accrued payout entitlement.
