How DroidDesk devices dey connect to Internet: real 5G/LTE mobile network or local Wi-Fi, no proxy, no VPN.

DroidDesk dey give remote access to real Android smartphones with real Internet connections.

We no dey use proxy, VPN or any other method to replace or hide the device IP address artificially. When you connect to phone through DroidDesk, the websites and apps dey reach Internet through the connection wey the device really dey use.

Which types of connection DroidDesk dey use?

Two main types of device dey the DroidDesk catalog. The connection type dey always show near the device.

Dynamic IP β€” 5G/LTE

Phones wey dey connect to mobile network through SIM card.

Wi-Fi

Phones wey dey connect to normal Wi-Fi network for where the device dey.

Dynamic IP β€” 5G/LTE mobile connection

If dem mark a device as Dynamic IP, the phone dey connect to Internet through mobile network. SIM card dey inside the device, and the phone dey use normal 5G/LTE connection from local mobile operator, same as Internet for normal smartphone wey dey use mobile data.

The websites and apps dey see the connection wey the mobile operator dey give that device. DroidDesk no dey replace am with im own IP address, and e no dey route the traffic through any extra network service.

Wi-Fi devices

Devices wey get the Wi-Fi icon dey use normal Wi-Fi network for where the phone dey physically. For most cases, na standard home or local connection: the phone dey connect to Wi-Fi router like any normal smartphone for house.

For this case, na the local Internet service provider (ISP) dey give the Internet connection and the public IP address.

DroidDesk no dey create artificial network environment around the phone. We no dey use:

proxy servers
VPN
data-center IP addresses
artificial IP replacement
routing traffic through DroidDesk servers

The phone dey use im own Internet connection. For Dynamic IP device, the traffic dey pass through im SIM card and the mobile operator; for Wi-Fi device, e dey pass through the local Wi-Fi network and the Internet provider.

How the IP address dey change for Dynamic IP devices?

For devices wey dem mark as Dynamic IP (5G/LTE), you fit renew the IP address by restarting the phone. Just press Reboot for the DroidDesk connection page; after the restart, the phone go connect back to the mobile network.

When the device restart, im current mobile Internet session dey close. Once the phone come on again, e dey register back with the mobile operator and start new mobile data session. Na that moment the operator dey assign IP address from im mobile network pool.

The whole process dey happen for the mobile operator side. DroidDesk no dey rotate the IP address artificially and e no dey replace am with proxy or VPN.

Restart→Reconnect to 5G/LTE→New mobile Internet session

Wetin dey happen to IP addresses for Wi-Fi devices?

Wi-Fi devices dey work small small different. The public IP address na for the connection wey the local Internet provider dey give, and e fit change by itself based on the provider settings and rules.

DroidDesk dey control the phone itself, but no be the home router or the ISP equipment. Na why to renew IP with the Reboot feature dey specially concern Dynamic IP devices wey dey use mobile network.
