Important: choose the right device for eSIM
If you plan to install your own eSIM, we advise make you choose a device wey dey connect through Wi-Fi. This one dey help so you no go lose connection with the phone during the eSIM setup.
If the phone dey use mobile SIM/eSIM for internet, to install your own eSIM fit turn off the current SIM/eSIM wey dey provide the device connection. For that case, the phone fit lose internet access and become impossible to reach.
eSIM limits
- the phone fit store up to 10 eSIM profiles for memory
- only 2 SIM/eSIM profiles fit dey active at the same time
- to use two SIM/eSIM profiles side by side, we recommend Samsung S series devices
- for Samsung A series and other models wey no be S series, to install your eSIM fit turn off the current SIM/eSIM wey dem dey use for internet
For best result
- choose a device wey get the Bring Your Own eSIM tag
- choose a device wey dey connect through Wi-Fi if you wan avoid losing connection
- choose Samsung S series if you need two SIM/eSIM profiles active at the same time
- if the phone already get 10 eSIM profiles stored, e fit no dey possible to add new eSIM until you delete one old profile
How to install the eSIM
Normally you dey add the eSIM from the Android settings:
You fit install the eSIM for two ways:
- Through a QR code
- Manual setup through SIM Manager
Installation with QR code
If you dey install the eSIM with a QR code:
- 1Upload the QR code image to the phone.
- 2Restart the device.
- 3After restart, the QR code image suppose show for the gallery.
- 4Open
SIM Manager → Add eSIM. - 5Choose the QR code installation and select the QR image from the gallery.
Manual setup
If your eSIM provider give you manual activation details, use the manual setup for SIM Manager.
You fit need:
- SM-DP+ Address
- Activation Code
- Confirmation Code, if e required
