What Happens to Your Data After a Rental Ends?

DroidDesk clears user data automatically after a rental. The one exception is files you uploaded manually — delete them before your session ends.

DroidDesk provides remote access to real physical Android smartphones, so it is important to understand what happens to your data when a rental ends.

After your rental ends, DroidDesk automatically clears user data from the device. This means you do not normally need to manually remove most of the data created during your session.

What is cleared automatically?

After the rental ends, the system automatically clears user data and prepares the device for the next session.

You do not need to perform a full manual cleanup of the phone after every rental.

Important exception: uploaded files

Files that you manually upload to the device may not be deleted automatically. This can include:

photos
videos
documents
archives
APK files
images
other uploads

If any of these files contain personal, sensitive, or confidential information, delete them manually before your rental ends.

What should you do before ending your rental?

Before ending your session, we recommend checking any files you uploaded to the device. If they contain sensitive information:

delete them from the device
check the Downloads folder
check any other folders where you may have saved documents, images, or other files

All other user data is cleared automatically by DroidDesk after the rental ends.

Why should uploaded files be deleted manually?

Uploaded files are stored directly in the file system of the physical device and may remain after the automatic session cleanup.

For this reason, you should not rely on automatic cleanup to remove files that you uploaded manually.

The key point

DroidDesk automatically clears user data after the rental ends.

The main exception is files that you manually uploaded to the device. If they contain personal or confidential information, delete them manually before ending your rental.
