One of the most common questions from DroidDesk users is whether the owner of the physical phone can see what happens during a remote session.
The short answer: while your session is active, the device host cannot see your screen or your activity on the phone.
How it works
DroidDesk devices are physically located with hosts who provide the smartphone and its internet connection.
When you connect to a device remotely, a dedicated privacy screen is displayed on the physical phone. This privacy screen is designed to hide your activity from anyone physically near the device.
What the host cannot see
During an active remote session, the host cannot see:
The host also does not participate in your remote session.
What happens after your rental ends?
After the rental ends, user data is automatically cleared from the device. However, files that you manually uploaded to the device are an exception and may remain on the phone.
If you uploaded confidential documents, images, or other files, we recommend deleting them manually before the rental ends. Learn more in What Happens to Your Data After a Rental Ends?
The key point
While your remote session is active, your activity on the device is hidden from the host.
After the rental ends, DroidDesk automatically clears user data, while manually uploaded files should be removed by you before the session ends.
