DroidDesk Notes is a small app installed on every DroidDesk phone. It moves text between the rented phone and your computer: paste text or share a link on the phone, tap “Send to dashboard”, and copy it in your DroidDesk dashboard.
It works in both directions and needs no account, cable or extra software — only an active rental.

Copy text from the phone to your computer
- On the phone, open the DroidDesk Notes app.
- Tap “Paste”, type the text — or in any app tap Share and choose DroidDesk Notes.
- Tap “Send to dashboard”.
- On your computer, open the phone’s page in your dashboard (Active Rentals → Connect). In the “Notes from phone” card, click “Copy to computer”.
Send text from your computer to the phone
- In the “Notes from phone” card, type or paste the text and click “Send to phone”.
- On the phone, open DroidDesk Notes — the text is already there. Tap “Copy” to put it on the phone’s clipboard.
Good to know
- One note per rental: sending again replaces it.
- Up to 16 KB of text — about 16,000 Latin or 8,000 Cyrillic characters.
- Private: only the current renter of this phone can see the note, and only during the rental.
- The note is deleted when the rental ends — the next renter never sees it.
- Files and photos are not supported — use File transfer on the phone’s page.
FAQ
The app says “No active rental”
Notes works only while you are renting this phone. Start or extend a rental, then open the app again.
The app says “Device setup is pending” or asks to be enrolled again
The phone is not connected to Notes yet. Contact support with the phone ID — we will fix it quickly.
I don’t see the “Notes from phone” card
Open the phone’s own page in your dashboard (Active Rentals → Connect). If the rental has just started, refresh the page.
Is my text stored anywhere?
Only for the current rental. It is sent over an encrypted connection and deleted automatically when the rental ends.
