How to Use DroidDesk Web App

DroidDesk lets you connect to and control a real Android phone directly from your web browser.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to use the DroidDesk Web App, transfer text and files, manage your connection, create browser profiles, import cookies, configure proxies, and use the virtual camera.

The DroidDesk Web App allows you to control a rented Android smartphone directly from your browser.

No separate desktop remote-control application is required for the basic web connection.

DroidDesk connects you to a real physical Android phone rather than a traditional Android emulator or virtual machine.

This makes it a useful option for users looking for a cloud phone, Android cloud phone, Android phone rental, or real device cloud based on physical smartphones.

After renting a phone, open the device page in your DroidDesk dashboard.

You will see the phone model, location, and remaining rental time.

Click Connect to start the browser connection.

DroidDesk retrieves the current connection details and opens the remote phone screen.

Once the device image appears and the connection is active, you can start working.

A mouse click works like a tap on the Android screen.

Clicking and dragging works like a finger swipe.

You can also use the Android navigation buttons for Back, Home, and Recent Apps.

The phone display can be resized, opened in full-screen mode, or launched in a separate browser tab.

DroidDesk allows you to send text from your computer into the active text field on the phone.

First, select the required field on the Android screen.

Then paste your text into the Send Text to Phone box and click Send Text.

The text will be inserted into the field that currently has focus.

Recent text entries are stored temporarily for quick reuse.

The Files section allows you to transfer files between your computer and the remote Android phone.

You can browse folders on the device, upload files, and download files back to your computer.

File transfer must be enabled in RustDesk on the phone.

At the moment, files are transferred one at a time, with a maximum file size of fifty megabytes.

The device page includes several useful control options.

Restart RustDesk restarts the remote-access application on the phone.

Reboot Device restarts the Android phone itself.

During a reboot, the remote connection will temporarily disconnect.

You can also enable connection statistics to view frame rate, connection speed, and latency.

DroidDesk Browser Profiles provide a separate browser environment with its own stored browser data.

A profile can include cookies, proxy settings, language, timezone, geolocation preferences, and other browser-specific configuration.

A browser profile does not create a full copy of the Android phone and does not save data from other applications.

If you already have your own cookies, they can be imported into a DroidDesk Browser profile.

DroidDesk checks the file format before import and can detect common formatting errors.

However, successful validation does not guarantee that a website session is still active.

Cookies can also be exported later if needed.

Proxy use is optional.

DroidDesk Browser supports HTTP and SOCKS5 proxies.

You can enter the proxy credentials manually or use the quick-paste option.

Before saving the profile, you can test the proxy connection.

If you do not need a proxy, simply leave it disabled.

Browser profiles can also include environment settings such as:

• System language
• Timezone
• Geolocation preferences

These settings are stored as part of the selected browser profile.

Before launching a browser profile, DroidDesk Browser must be linked to the rented phone.

Open DroidDesk Browser on the phone and select Link Device.

A four-digit code will appear.

Enter this code in your DroidDesk dashboard.

Once the link is confirmed, the phone will appear in the list of available devices.

Select the profile you want to use and click Open on Phone.

If a device has not already been selected, DroidDesk will ask you to choose one.

The browser will then open using the saved data and settings of the selected profile.

When you finish working with a browser profile, return to the profile list and click Save and Close.

Wait until DroidDesk confirms that the profile has been saved successfully.

Simply closing the browser tab or minimizing the app on the phone is not enough to guarantee that the latest data has been saved.

Once saved, the profile can be opened again later on the same or another compatible device.

You can also export cookies or export the complete profile.

The DroidDesk virtual camera allows you to provide an image or video source to a website that requests access to the browser camera.

Available sources can include:

• Uploaded images
• Uploaded videos
• Your computer camera
• OBS Virtual Camera

Select the source, preview it, choose the phone with the active browser profile, and click Enable Camera.

Then open the target website in DroidDesk Browser and allow it to access the camera.

You can adjust the image scale and position if required.

When finished, disable the virtual camera.

The virtual camera works inside DroidDesk Browser and does not replace the camera for other Android applications.

DroidDesk supports two main ways to control a rented Android phone.

The Web App lets you connect directly through your browser and includes additional tools such as file management, browser profiles, cookies, proxy settings, and virtual camera.

The Desktop Client uses RustDesk and is useful if you prefer a dedicated remote-control application.

Both methods connect you to a real physical Android device.
