Upload Files to a Remote Phone

Transfer any file from your computer to a remote phone with RustDesk, then reboot to find it in the Gallery or Downloads.

You can transfer any file from your computer to a remote phone using RustDesk. After the transfer is complete, reboot the device to make the files appear in the Gallery or Downloads folder.

Step-by-step guide

  1. 1Open the RustDesk app on the phone.
  2. 2Make sure Transfer File is enabled.
  3. 3Open Transfer File from the RustDesk desktop client.
  4. 4Select the files on your computer.
  5. 5Transfer them to the phone.
  6. 6Reboot the device.
  7. 7Reconnect to the phone.

Where are my files?

  • Photos and videos usually appear in the Gallery after rebooting.
  • Other files can be found in the Downloads folder using the Files app.

Important notes

  • A reboot is required after every file transfer.
  • Large files may take longer to upload depending on the connection speed.
  • Do not disconnect the device while a transfer is in progress.
  • Make sure the phone has enough free storage.
